Should I tell my friends that I'm gay?

I just transferred to a new university and I really love it! I actually started hanging out with a new group of friends and they're AWESOME! But they don't know I'm gay because I'm really scared of how they'll react... They're pretty liberal though since we were watching the news and the New York same-sex marriage legalization came on and they all said that it was stupid that so many people were against it. So that's making me kinda optimistic. But should I even tell them at all... Idk what to do... Should I tell them?
